Day at Legoland

What a great day for the grandparents! Forrest and Jen shared their first family trip to Legoland with us. Carter had a wonderful time and Camdyn slept through most of it. Here are some pictures of 'the event'. Enjoy.

Sun in San Diego ?

We finally had a sunny day In San Diego.  Not Saturday though.  Dee and I went golfing at Miramar and it was windy, cold, and a "Marine Layer" all day. Even the airplanes took a day off of flying.  So, we tried again on Sunday and played 9 holes at Balboa Park. Finally a beautiful day. Sunny, warm,and we played well.  That just means we didn't lose any balls.  So, Dee gets this cookbook last week, and we picked out what we can try making this week at the kids house. I got all the fixins yesterday at the commisary at Miramar. Last night was some sort of chicken (forgot the name) with 3 different bell peppers, onions, and rice.  It was pretty good.  Dee helped me out in the kitchen.  Tonight we are going to try Srimp Scampi with corn on the cob  and rice. After that, we are going to try sweedish meatballs.  I've never made any of these dishes; but the first one came out okay.  Jenny and Forrst seem to like them.

we had a 5.9 earthquake last night. I was doing the dishes, and just swayed as I was washing them.Princess of course just slept and snored through it all.  This morning though, she was running around chasing rabbits, whe all of a sudden, the resident skunk showed up.  Princess chased her, and got sprayed. The whole stinkin park now smells of skunk.  I'm taking her to Petco as soon as it opens up to get her cleaned up.  She really stinks. then, I'm just sitting here when we just got some sort of a water surge. There were ike 7 motor home that started gushing water.  Of course ours was. I turned the water off so it wasn't too bad.  Some guy and I started knocking on doors, but people must be at work.  Then, all of the other motor homes stopped leaking.  Who knows?  It's a crazy morning so far.  Princess really stinks. Another week going by in "Chilly" San Diego

Not too much this week going on.  Camdyn is a very alert little baby.  Looks around and moving quite a bit.  Little man Carter back to sitters this week.  Dee picks him up in the afternoon, and they go for a walk.  I have a great job.  I go over early afternoon and make dinner.  Carter knows my truck and when he sees me now, says Papa cooks.  I am getting to try different dishes, and Dee, Jenny, and Forrest are so thankful for the cooking, they haven't disc'd me yet on any dinners.  I get to try something new and see what happens.  Dee still makes her delicious meatloaf though also. I'm trying different ways to make chicken. There are only like 100 different ways to cook it. Chicken Cordon Bleau is always a hit.  I want to try Cashew chicken soon. Fun stuff. Baby and Jenny doing well.  Carter adjusting well with new baby sister.  Dee busy helping out and doing great job.  Princess and I hanging out in motor home. I went to VA in Loma Linda on Wednesday and then to 29 Palms for another Dr's. appointment.  Check out the picture I took of the degree in 29 Palms.  It hasn't warmed up enough for me in San Diego. Never above 69 degrees. But in 29?  120 on mirror in car!! A little too warm.  Something in between would be nice.  It's Friday; so Dee is due home this evening. She has off on weekends and Wednesday's.  We are golfing at Miramar tomorrow, 9 holes.  New course. We'll play some hand n foot this weekend. I'll get more beat downs. She is playing well.  Not too many pictures this week. Dropped the ball. I'll have more next week.

Baby pictures/ day at zzoo w/ Carter, Nana

Nothing like having an annual pass to the San Diego Zoo.  Go for an hour; see the ducks, monkey's, go on a train ride, carasoule, butterflies, and out of there.

Memorial Day weekend ! Whew...

We met up with Chris, Angela and two of the grandkids on Sunday at Universal Studios. Did some rides, had faces painted and all that.  We came out from one of the shows and the place hadd gotten packed with people, so we left; to go back another time. We saw James n Jackie at one of James' friends house  and they all look the same from high school.  Monday for Memorial Day, we had a picnic with Forrest's parents from Arizona who came in for the week as Jennifer had the baby today. Kamdyn Breeann Villa.  20 inches, 7 lbs, 8 oz.  9:14 this morning.  Here's a bunch of pictures.  Enjoy !!
