Hippity Dippity

I saw the orthopedic doctor on Friday; one look at the x-ray told the story; hip replacement needed. Doctor indicated that I could have had the surgery much sooner; but we all know how much I love doctors and hospitals. So I am scheduled for September 20th, with a 3 day minimum in Scripps Green Hospital, La Jolla. They will create a ceramic socket and titanium stem. Sound familiar??? I become more like my husband everyday. Don't anyone go on a plane with us; the check in will be forever now. Chris and Angela have welcomed me to rehab at their house in Hesperia; where I can have cumadin monitered (blood thinners) and physical therapist visit with me. Hope to be back to my 'new self' in no time.

Spent the last week visiting with friends from Arizona, Cindy and Jim. Visited Disneyland, Universal Studios, Sea World, and Old Town. We are all exhausted.

Going to see the Sox play tonite and tomorrow at Angel Stadium. Sure hope they win; last couple of games I saw them play; losers!!!

Wednesday we are picking up Kaitlyn and Devin for some quality Nana and Papa time. Going to Disney, Universal, and the beach. On Saturday we will be going to cousin Carters' 2nd birthday party in San Diego. We will finish the week with some shopping as back to school is early August for the kids.

Julian's bust

We left Admiral Baker's campground after being there since the beginning of May. Nice winding road up to Julian.  Dee followed in the Honda.  we arrived nice and early only to find out we couldn't check into the cottage until 3:00.  So, we parked the motorhome, took off to explore the town of Julian with Princess. The town was a solid two blocks long, with mostly closed stores, and was a dirty town as far I could estimate.  We went back to KQ Ranch to check out the club house, pool, and country store. The store may have been as big and long as our motorhome. Nothing to write home about.  No room in there to sell beer either. While Dee was checking out the club house and pool, Princess and I went to the cottage to sneak a peek. The place was packed with ants. Since I am allergic to ant bites, we went to see the park manager regarding this cottage and requested another cottage. They were all empty at the time. I even requested the disabled cottage. He wouldn't change cottages for us, but did offer a bottle of windex so we could try and keep the ants under control. We left, although we had already met our friends who also were camping out there for a week. Another 5 hours later we arrived at Seal Beach and will stay here for 5 weeks now vice the four planned.  It's clean, roomy, and friendly. At least we got to see some wonderful views fro Julian before we left. Enjoy the few pictures we took before leaving...  We have some friends showing up tomorrow, and staying until Sunday.  Time to party, visit, go places, and play some serious hand and foot. The JJ express will be doing some thumping again...

Finally some warmth in San Diego

Dee and I were let go the other day from our job at Jenny's house, so we went golfing at Balboa yesterday. Today, we may be off to Coronado and play 9 there. I've been slowly packing up the motorhome the past couple of days, so when we leave tomorrow morning I hope it's not crazy. For you working people, enjoy the pictures.

weekend visit with the baby

Stacey and Hutch came down to San Diego this weekend to see baby Camdyn with Alexa and Hutch's son, Raymond.  Chris and Angela came down also with Kaitlyn and Devin.  Dee and I went golfing with Hutch on Saturday and the sun was actually out. Good visit with the kids and grandkids this weekend.  Dee and I have only two more days left of going over to Jenny's house and helping out. What a bummer.  We must move on though.  Going to Julian in the mountains... Enjoy the pictures

Busy couple of weeks

We had a nice 4th of July with Jen, Forrest, and the kids at a nice park.  Spent the day there.  Time is winding down here in San Diego now. Next Friday we are off to Julian up in apple/wine country for a week before settling in again for a month at Seal Beach.  Had a visit from Forrest's sister, Sunny and her husband Ben with their little one.  Enjoy some pictures...from the past coouple of weeks.

 

 

Palm Desert visit

We left cold San Diego for some warmth last weekend.  A little too much heat though, as it was 108 degrees in Palm Desert.  We got to visit with our friends Michelle and Scott. On Saturday,  we helped James and Jackie move into their new home. Came back on Sunday. Scott took me to a place called Tilted Kilt for lunch on Friday....Got a picture with one of the waitress's... Trying to get Dee to purchase an outfit like this one Ha !!
